Some skaters are only a little punk, some are jocks, some are nerds, some are Goth, and many don't fit into a box. But they are all "skaters". They have all picked up a skateboard, given it a shot, and loved it. There's something a little different about real skaters. And that is another reason skateboarding is so popular - skateboarding will take anyone, as long as you have the heart. You can suck at skateboarding but as long as you really try, and as long as you love skating, you're in. And most skaters get along pretty well, considering who knows what else they're into. At the skatepark I've seen my fair share of jerks, but I've also seen a shocking number of cool people. Older skaters encouraging younger skaters, good skaters giving tips to crappy skaters, and total strangers getting along, hanging out and having fun. There's plenty of attitude, but not all of it is negative. I think that this willingness to take anyone, as long as they truly try, is a another big reason why skateboarding is so popular.David Guerrahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/02721795957044114020noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2134986460117678673.post-41361094933640199112015-05-27T11:15:00.002-07:002015-05-29T09:13:22.609-07:00English 34W:1 Write arguments to support claims in an analysis of substantive topics or texts,
Simple Self Expression

One reason is the simple anatomy of skateboarding. All you really need is yourself and a skateboard. Technically, you don't even need shoes! The skateboard itself is fairly low cost, especially if you don't need a "top of the line" skateboard. Plus, anyone can try skateboarding. It doesn't matter if you are fat or thin, short or tall, young or old - there's a board and a style that will work for you. Skateboarding is all about self expression. If you are a slow, soulful guy, it will show in your skateboarding style. If you want everything fast, that will show. If you're a dare devil, if you're graceful, or if you're comical, it will all come out in your skateboarding. Being yourself, learning the tricks and developing the style that is all you - that's easily one of the biggest reasons that skateboarding is popular.David Guerrahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/02721795957044114020noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2134986460117678673.post-20952633811020342692015-05-27T11:07:00.002-07:002015-05-29T09:13:22.574-07:00English 33RI:9 Analyze seventeenth-, eighteenth-, and nineteenth-century foundational
The shape of the longboard is little bit different than the skateboard. Longboard is longer and wider and also has more stability, durability because of lower wheels. Purpose of the longboarding is for transportation, slalom which is weaving in and out a line of obstacles, free ride and downhill.
Longboarding originated in Oahu, Hawaii. Surfers used longboarding as a trainer. Surfers imitated the moves on surf board by skimming their hands across the ground, carving quickly or changing their positioning on the board. Early longboards were homemade creation by teenagers who thought the regular skateboard was too short for them. Instead of putting regular skateboard wheels they put roller-skate wheels. Longboard was not common back in the time because the cost of the board was expensive. However lately people started to use longboard as their transportation and the use of longboard has been increased. Also now there are many longboards companies that provide long boards in affordable prices such as Sector 9, Santa Cruz, Gravity and Arbor. Some companies such as Sector 9 or Arbor use bamboo instead of plywood which increases the durability of the board. Longboard used to be famous only in west coast but as people started to use them as transportation, now you can see people riding longboard everywhere in the United States. Also you can see way more female skaters than it used to be because longboards are easy to ride and they are faster so you do not have kick as much as the regular skateboard to gain speed.

Skateboarding was first started sometime in the late 1940s or early 1950s. However no one really knows who started to skateboard or made the first board for the first time because all across California surfers came up with this idea of surfing on the street at the same time. Several people have claimed that they were the one who invented the skateboard but nothing has been proved in evidence so skateboarding has been remained as a mystery but as a spontaneous creation. The first skateboard was just a wooden boxes or boards with roller skate wheels attached on the bottom of the boxes or boards. Many people got hurt while they were skateboarding in early years because the skateboard’s decks were not strong enough to resist the human weight and the wheels were not smooth enough because the wheel’s quality was not as advanced as now, back in the time. The boxes evolved into planks and eventually desks were developed which is similar to the skateboard desks of today. During this time, skateboarding was just something fun to do when the surf was not high enough and was often called “sidewalk surfing”.

They blamed the whole tragedy on the fact that it took the Prince too long to act on his revenge. Describe the roles of broadcast, print, and electronic media, including the internet, as means of communication in American politics.
For My Life Project we have to communicate with a lot of different people in a lot of different ways. For example, we use our blogs to show the progress we have made in our projects. To the my life coaches that we don't see very often, this shows them what we are doing, What we have done, and if we are doing anything and not just messing around, Our blogs include pictures of us working on our projects, posts about what we had done the following week, and posts about our standards either for English or civics/econ. We can also use our emails to talk to other my life students if we need there assistance or coaches if we need help. But we also use our emails to contact those who are not in the program but are beneficial to the completion of our projects. I myself have contacted many people about the skate park over email. Sometimes emails just wont fully explain what needs to be said and i have called people or had meetings with them solely for that reason.David Guerrahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/02721795957044114020noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2134986460117678673.post-60458908078527826382015-03-09T09:06:00.003-07:002015-03-09T09:06:48.818-07:00English 21
Mathew and I had a meeting with Audet about the skate park and building a cover for the ramps. We also decided to fill out a work order to have the custodians take us to Hanford to pick up the ramp, rail, and wood that will finish off the skate park and then we can start building with concrete. we will pay for the concrete with money that has been donated to us from various people.
I can tie this standard in with the work i am doing because i have used different forms of media to promote my skate park. i have used the promotion to receive donations from other people, not just money but skate obstacles that are no longer used as well. along with that i have taken into consideration many plans and ideas from others.David Guerrahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/02721795957044114020noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2134986460117678673.post-10316036792050406702015-02-26T09:53:00.000-08:002015-02-26T09:53:07.968-08:00English 19RH 7- Integrate and evaluate multiple sources of information presented in diverse formats and media in order to address a question or solve a problem.
During a meeting we had with two professors from out of state I was presented tons of information about how I could fundraise for the skate park and even things I could do just to make it better. I used this information to solve many problems I was having. for weeks we had been trying to fundraise money for the skate park and after much planning and revising we tried a different approach. this new approach helped us make over 80 dollars in under 2 hours. this money will go towards the ramps and anything needed to fix the skate park.David Guerrahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/02721795957044114020noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2134986460117678673.post-42399815592215425312015-02-05T08:27:00.001-08:002015-02-05T08:27:07.835-08:00Dr. Audets websiteEducationcreationgroup.comDavid Guerrahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/02721795957044114020noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2134986460117678673.post-19489788716941758862015-01-30T14:32:00.004-08:002015-01-30T14:32:27.228-08:00English 18RI:2
I wrote down a couple ideas the insurance people had given us. two of these were to do something with the poles and put a sign up with the rules. Our first idea was to pad the poles. After the idea developed in our heads we decided we should instead cut the poles down. We have come to find out there in sleeves and so we can just pull them out. The sign was more difficult to figure out. we decided to make it out of metal. as we were almost done finishing it someone moved the metal and so one of the last words was not put on and the machine is currently broke. so we will have to wait for the machine to be fixed.
